A retired teacher opened fire on clinical staff members, apparently upset over his mother's treatment (she died in 2004).
He entered the hospital with three pistols.
Securing hospitals and other clinical areas is a difficult task. The nature of their business can be very emotional at times, and where emotion and family members are involved - you've got a breading ground for conflict. This seems to be a case where it was brewing for some time (This guys mother died in 2004), but it reminds us how vulnerable our clinical staff can be.
